Job Summary:

The Selling Sales Manager is responsible for the training, support and leadership for a specialized sales team. The Selling Sales Manager is a Front of the House role with closing more business and increasing revenue being primary objectives. Achievement of those objectives is predicated on increasing metrics outlined below not limited to but including: Close Ratio, Average Sale, Protection %, Financed Volume, Sketching, and Appointment based selling. This is a working manager position that requires actively working with customers and performing sales duties.

Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Provide on floor coaching and observation in real time while leading with the highest ethical standards and demanding the same from your team.
  • Create a positive and exciting working environment for all store sales associates.
  • Promote and create an environment where the store team is empowered to deliver excellent customer service aligned with company processes and standards while encouraging achievement of company goals
  • Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grass roots programs.
  • Commitment to Sell It or Schedule It with a passion to drive real action.
  • Non Negotiable Standards Accountability for Sales / Design Team
  • Leadership by Example in Non Negotiable Standards, Sell It or Schedule It, Sketching. With emphasis on Appointment Based Selling and In Home Design to drive store goals.
  • Champion and role model the Callan selling process ( Sell It or Schedule It ) by overseeing the interaction with as many clients as possible within Callan Furniture.
  • Commitment to Individual Team Member Goal Achievement and Overall All Store Revenue Goal Achievement. Conduct Goal Meeting with Sales /Design Team Members with Assistance & Support of General Manager
  • Cultivate and Build Full Team Engagement and Retention Using Positive Proactive Actions rather than Reactive Actions
  • Train, coach, and develop selling team on product knowledge and selling skills to achieve store sales goals.
  • Utilizing Company resources to keep associates up to date on product knowledge, selling skills, and operational efficiencies.
  • Assist Sales / Design Team on Product Knowledge and Inventory Availability
  • Selling Component Goal Achievement – See Note Below Titled “Selling Component”
  • Maintain store cleanliness, appearance, and standards. This includes but is not limited to assisting in maintenance of showroom displays, tagging, and facilities.
  • Ensure that each Callan guest has an informative and positive experience by using good customer service skills, knowledge of products and services, and product demonstrations.
  • Making sound business decisions to deliver customer satisfaction and promote team environment.
  • Organizational & Administrative Tasks Include:
  • Monitor Morning Huddles and Lead Sales Meetings
  • Participation in Jody Seivert Management and Sales Training Programs
  • Goal Metric Measurement and Data Management to Support Tracking of Individual Sales /Design Team Members Performance

Selling Component:

Selling Sale Manager will be responsible for an Individual Sales Goal in addition to the above. This Goal will be determined by GM and Owner and will be integral part of compensation package for this position. Selling Sales Manager will have accountability on an individual level in addition to team level for Non Negotiable Standards, Close Ratio, Average Sale, Protection %, Sketching, Appointments, and Financed Volume.

Additional Information:

  • This position is a full-time position. Saturday, Sunday and Holiday hours as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
